Following on from our inaugural Graduation ceremony, the University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL) is proud to have made a significant donation to a charity held close to its heart, Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests, along with strong attendance numbers on Graduation day, UCNL has been able to contribute £500 to the Scunthorpe-based charity, in the way of revenue generated from guest ticket sales.
Situated in the heart of North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with progressive life limiting illnesses for over 30 years.
Every year, their dedicated team of staff and volunteers touch the lives of hundreds of people, either directly as patients, or by supporting family members or carers, before, during and after one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Emma Hartley, Fundraising Coordinator at Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare, said: “We would like to thank UCNL for the generous donation of £500 from their graduation ticket sales.
“The Hospice relies heavily on donations from our community to continue to provide our palliative care services, so we are so very grateful for every penny raised for our cause!”
The charity also recently launched their ‘Sponsor a Star Campaign’, giving sponsors a unique opportunity to pledge a donation of support, in exchange for a bespoke, light-up star, positioned at Lindsey Lodge’s facility.
Further extending collective support, DN Colleges Group were thrilled to make contributions from both UCNL and North Lindsey College, as part of the initiative.
