Keith Spence BA (hons), MA, PhD

Lecturer Business

Keith is a lecturer within the Business Programmes, bringing extensive academic experience and a strong interdisciplinary background to his teaching and research. Since joining DN Colleges Group in 2021, he has contributed to a wide range of modules, supporting students’ academic development through a focus on critical thinking, research literacy, and the human dimensions of business and society.

Keith holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Kent, an MA from the University of York, and a PhD from the University of Bristol. Prior to his current role, he lectured across several leading universities, including the University of York (Social Science, 1998–2001), the University of Leicester (Criminology, 2001–2011), and the University of Lincoln (International Study Centre, 2012–2020). This breadth of experience has shaped his cross‑disciplinary approach to teaching, spanning social science, criminology, and applied research methods.

His research and publication interests centre on the politics and sociology of risk, as well as the philosophy and methodology of the human sciences. Keith welcomes enquiries from students interested in research supervision within these areas or related fields.
