DN Colleges Group and the National Holocaust Museum are proud to announce a landmark partnership that will see DN Colleges Group become the first further and higher education college group in the UK to be recognised as Jewish Identity and Belonging Centres.
As part of the partnership, DN Colleges Group will pilot the National Holocaust Museum’s new Challenging Anti-Jewish Hate Enrichment Programme throughout the 2026/27 academic year, providing students, apprentices and staff with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of Jewish identity, challenge antisemitism, and foster inclusive communities where everyone feels they belong.
The programme has been designed to move beyond traditional Holocaust education by exploring the richness and diversity of Jewish life, addressing contemporary manifestations of anti-Jewish hate, and equipping students, apprentices and staff with the confidence and critical thinking skills to recognise and challenge prejudice in all its forms.
Through a year-long programme of workshops, enrichment activities, staff development, student leadership opportunities and engagement with expert educators from the National Holocaust Museum, the colleges will become national pioneers in creating environments where Jewish identity is understood, respected and celebrated.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to preparing young people not only for successful careers, but also for active and responsible citizenship.
Jasmine Fletcher-Holmes, Business Development Officer, National Holocaust Museum, said:
“This partnership represents an exciting step forward in how we support young people to understand Jewish identity and challenge antisemitism. We are delighted that DN Colleges Group are leading the way by becoming the UK’s first Jewish Identity and Belonging Centres. Together, we hope to create a model that can inspire colleges across the country.”
Rachel Maguire Chief Operating Officer People & Information, DN Colleges Group, added:
“Education has a vital role to play in creating communities built on respect, understanding and inclusion. We are incredibly proud that DN Colleges Group will be the first FE and HE College Group in the country to pilot this innovative programme. We believe this programme aligns strongly with our Belonging, EDI, Personal Development, Safeguarding and Student Enrichment priorities, providing valuable opportunities for students, apprentices and staff to develop their understanding of Jewish identity, belonging, anti-Jewish hate and wider community cohesion.”
The pilot programme will run throughout the 2026/27 academic year, with learning and evaluation informing the future rollout of the initiative to colleges across the UK. To register interest, please email JasmineFletcher-Holmes@holocaust.org.uk
