As such, I am keen to ensure all our students feel well supported as they develop into the professionals of the future.

About

My main research interests focus around curriculum development and supporting children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities.

Teaching

I completed my degree in Illustration and progressed onto a PGCE (Secondary) teaching qualification. This led me into secondary school education, where I taught/ led departments for over 12 years. Throughout this time, I became a teacher training mentor within my settings and completed my MA studies. Over time, my professional perspective changed and I became more heavily involved with special educational provisions, developing knowledge and experience with relevant professionals, provision and policies. This led to me lecturing on a range of education programmes upon joining University Campus Doncaster, including developing and programme leading the SENCO qualification (NASENCO) and BA Education Studies courses.

Further Industry Experience

I am an external examiner for a range of programmes validated through the University of Hertfordshire and am a governor at a local special school.
